Record with Cubase

Settings

Before you can record you must check the following things. The first is the record level, the signal must not go over 0 db, if it does the signal will clip.

Select the track you want to record on and give the audio file a name. Make a new folder for each song. Select mono or stereo now hit the record button on the transport bar and the recording will start. Remember if you are punching in that the recording starts and stop on the markers. When your done recording hit the stop button. Then go to the channel mixer and turn of the incoming signal of the channel. Now go to the arrange window and listen to your recordings. If the recording is ok you can start editing the part.
